An Bord Pleanála has granted permission to MKN Property Group and Tifco Ltd to develop a new €40 million, six-storey, 178-bedroom hotel at Portobello in Dublin, despite opposition from local residents.
A decision by Dublin City Council to approve the plans last year was met with almost 60 objections, with four appeals being lodged by locals.
Deemed Acceptable
However, the appeals board ruled that the proposed hotel fits in with the area's visual and residential amenities, and concurred with Dublin City Council's decision to approve the plans.
