The four-star Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne has been put on the market with a guide price of €8 million, according to reports.
With sales of hotels in Ireland hitting a record high last year, the popular Co Meath hotel, which first opened in 2007 under the Marriot brand, is to be offered for sale through Savills Hotels & Leisure.
The Irish Times reports that the hotel, which is owned by a business syndicate headed by Paddy Kelly and John McCabe, is being sold on the instructions of KPMG who was appointed receiver by the former Anglo Irish Bank.
The 148-bedroom hotel includes a restaurant and bar alongside conference and banqueting facilities capable of seating 550 guests.
