Niall Kerins has been appointed General Manager of Glenlo Abbey Hotel in Galway. With over 20 years’ experience in the hotel business, Niall previously worked as Gerneral Manager Lisloughrey Lodge in Mayo since February 2012.
Niall had also worked for the Edward Hotel Group as Deputy General Manager of The G Hotel in Galway in 2006 and as Deputy General Manager of Ashford Castle in 2011. He was also emplyed as General Manager of the Limerick Marriott Hotel and as General Manager in Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney.
Niall’s passion for the hospitality industry stems from his childhood, when he learned the trade in his parents' B & B and from their successful self-catering business. He went to complete a HND in Hotel & Catering Management in the UK, and has worked in hospitality in Ireland since then.
Niall is looking forward to his return to Glenlo Abbey Hotel, having worked there in 2001 for 3 years as Conference and Banqueting Manager: “Glenlo Abbey Hotel is a gorgeous property, and I’m looking forward to being at the helm of the hotel, and working with my team to fulfil its potential. Glenlo Abbey Hotel is now under new management who are passionate about maximising the promise of the hotel and giving our guests the very best five star experiences. We have already refurbished our function room, The Corrib Suite, and are planning to return our unique Pullman Restaurant to its former glory also.”
