The Sunday Business Post has reported that the new owners of the former Clerys department store are seeking permission to build two additional floors for a planned hotel on the site.
The former department store was acquired last year for €63 million by Europa Capital, which is part of the Rockefeller Group.
The American firm operates Irish companies Oakmount and Core Capital.
Current Permission
The group currently has permission to redevelop the building into a retail and office scheme, featuring a rooftop restaurant.
Plans also include a seven-storey hotel on the site of a former Clerys warehouse on Earl Place.
