Businesswoman Lorraine Sweeney and her daughter, Adrienne Stewart, will open a new 32-bedroom "wellness hotel" in Coolakay, Co. Wicklow, on July 20.
The €2.5 million Powerscourt Springs hotel will initially employ 20 people, and will also offer spa treatments and yoga and meditation services.
Additionally, the hotel features a tennis court, an "eco-trail", a hydrotherapy pool and steam rooms, but outdoor hot tubs will not be open right away due to social distancing rules.
Food Offering And Adults-Only Rule
The venue's food offering will be aimed at vegetarian and vegan diets, and it will operate a full cocktail bar.
Children will not be permitted at the venue. It will be for adults only.
The Irish Times quotes Stewart as saying, "Let's be realistic. People will be coming here with friends on breaks to get away from their children."
