Dublin can now boast its first new hotel in almost two years after the opening of the 52-bedroom Dean Hotel.
Encompassing three Georgian terraces on Dublin's Harcourt Street, The Dean is reported to have cost Press Up Entertainment Group €5.5 million, the same group behind bringing the Wagamama chain to Ireland.
The new hotel includes the new ground floor Dean Bar, a rooftop Italian restaurant and a first floor event space.
The owners have taken a unique approach to the interior, with the cheapest rooms featuring “punk beds” and other containing turntables and vinyl collections.
The large two-bed penthouse has a loft and its own cocktail bar, plus a foosball table and eight-seat poker table.
The marketing material for the hotel reads, “We don’t do conventional. We do fun. Super cool & comfortable rooms filled with stuff that will make you smile. Spaces for work & play".
Room rates will start from €109 a night and go all the way up to €999.
