Australian investor Thomas Roeggla, who owns both Mount Wolseley and Farnham Estate, has purchased the McWilliam Park Hotel in Co. Mayo for €9 million.
The Business Post reports that the venue was bought through a fund called SCIF Hotels Limited Partnership and represents Roeggla's ninth Irish hotel purchase.
The transaction follows Roeggla's acquisition of the Mount Wolseley golf resort and Anner Hotel last year. His investments in Ireland are estimated to amount to about €80 million. Roeggla's other Irish properties include Co. Kerry's Aghadoe Heights Hotel, the Cavan Crystal Hotel, Co. Sligo's Diamond Coast Hotel and the Clarion of Co. Limerick.
