Midlands Park Hotel Appoints George Leahy As General Manager

Midlands Park Hotel, part of Neville Group Hotels, has announced the promotion of George Leahy to general manager at the four-star hotel.

In his new role as general manager, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations, from finance and marketing to guest services and human resources.

Leahy takes over from Dara Cruise, who was recently appointed as group general manager of Neville Park Hotels, encompassing Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise, Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, and Crown Quarter in Wexford Town.

The Neville Park Hotel Group is owned by brothers Colm and Anthony Neville.

Background

Originally from Cork and now settled in Laois, Leahy has 20 years experience in hospitality.

Having trained with the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group, he subsequently held various management positions at leading Irish properties including Brandon House Hotel, The Montenotte, Castletroy Park Hotel and Adare Manor.

Leahy originally joined Midlands Park Hotel in 2018 as banqueting manager, moving through the ranks to become hotel manager in 2022.
