Lisloughrey Lodge at Cong in Co Mayo is going on sale for a guide price of €2.5 million. This sale follows the selling of nearby Ashford Castle for €20m by Savills agents.
Kieran Wallace of KMPG acting for Ulster Bank, has ordered the selling of the property.
The sale of the four star victorian hotel will determine if demand in the west has progressed since the Ashford sale.
Opened by Niall McFadden in 2005, the 50-bedroomed hotel is situated on the cusp of Connemara.
It is less than an hour's drive from Galway (44km) and 3 hours from Dublin (254km). It also comes with the Quay Bar, the Wilde's At The Lodge Restaurant and the Piano Gallery Room.
It also includes a library, a boardroom, a fitness/leisure centre, outdoor hot tub facilities and 10 acres of grounds.
