Lawlor's Hotel in Naas has been granted planning permission for a major extension to the property by Kildare County Council.
The development will see the construction of a single-storey courtyard suite at the rear of the existing hotel, the demolition of a two-storey dwelling house and the construction of additional storey's, reports leinsterleader.ie.
Work at the boutique hotel will comprise of a new additional hotel entrance lobby; reception; lounge; bars; conference/function rooms; breakfast room; a landscaped garden area; and a new link to the existing hotel at ground-floor level.
The extension will see the addition of 80 hotel bedrooms at first, second and third floor levels, a new 'Sky' restaurant and bar, as well as 140 new car parking spaces.
