Jake McHugh Appointed General Manager Of Grand Central Hotel Belfast

Grand Central Hotel Belfast, part of the Hastings Hotels group, recently appointed Jake McHugh as its new general manager. In his new role, McHugh is committed to enhancing the hotel’s reputation as the luxury destination of choice in the city centre.

His vision includes elevating the food and beverage experience with innovative menus, a Chef’s Table dining concept, and a greater focus on locally sourced ingredients.

McHugh will also expand the hotel’s concierge service to offer bespoke itineraries, highlighting the best of Belfast, and aims to further enhance the guest experience with more live music and vibrant social experiences at the Seahorse Restaurant and The Observatory.

Originally from the UK, McHugh holds a hospitality degree from the University of Westminster and has over two decades of international hospitality experience. He has has senior leadership positions in luxury hotels across Europe, Asia, and Australia. His previous roles include head concierge at Hyatt Carlton Tower in London, front office manager at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, and director of rooms in Thailand and Korea, before progressing to general manager positions in Japan and the UK.
