Largest Irish Hotel Operator Opens London’s Second Maldron Hotel

Dalata Hotel Group has announced the opening of the group’s fifth London hotel, the Maldron Hotel Shoreditch.

The 157-guestroom hotel is Dalata’s 23rd in the UK, following recent openings in Brighton, Liverpool, and the Cathedral Quarter in Manchester.

“Shoreditch is a prime location for both business and leisure travellers and has been a key target location for us since moving into London,” said Dermot Crowley, Dalata Hotel Group CEO. “Our expansion in the city is on track with our strategy, and London will remain a key location for us, given the significant opportunities the market presents.”

The four-star Maldron Hotel Shoreditch will bring 45 new jobs to the area, which is known as a hotspot for culture and art. It is a short walk from London landmarks, including Spitalfields, Tower Hill and Brick Lane, less than a mile from the London Liverpool Street station and just 30 minutes from London City Airport by road.

James Feeney, Maldron Hotel Shoreditch’s general manager, said that the hotel and its location will provide the perfect base camp for guests, allowing them to get the most out of their London experience.

Maldron Hotel Shoreditch features the group’s Grain & Grill bar and restaurant and a Red Bean Roastery coffee dock, serving barista-prepared coffee.

The hotel provides self-check-in pods, a dining and bar area, and a well-equipped fitness suite. It features deluxe double bedrooms, deluxe single rooms, executive king rooms and accessible rooms, all complete with rainfall showers, modern wooden floors, air conditioning, and USB-C charge points.
