InterContinental Hotels Group Announces Changes To Its Board

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced that non-executive director Luke Mayhew will retire from its board on December 18, 2020, and that Graham Allan will join the board as an independent non-executive director on September 1.

"A Great Asset"

Commenting on Mayhew's retirement, IHG non-executive chair Patrick Cescau said, "As a long-standing non-executive director, Luke has shown great commitment and dedication to IHG. His passion and drive as the designated non-executive director with responsibility for workforce engagement and, prior to that, as the chair of the remuneration committee have been invaluable, and he has been a great asset to the company. I would like to thank Luke for the important contribution he has made to the IHG board over the last nine years and wish him the very best for the future."

"A Valuable Addition"

Commenting on Allan's appointment, Cescau said, "Graham has more than 40 years of high quality strategic, commercial and brand expertise. This significant experience combined with board and senior roles at global businesses in multiple geographies will be a valuable addition, and I look forward to welcoming Graham to the IHG board."

Allan will serve on the IHG board's audit and remuneration committees.
