InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced plans to open a new hotel in Dallas, Texas, in early 2022.
The new InterContinental Dallas Uptown hotel will be owned by NexPoint Advisors, LP, an affiliate of Highland Capital Management, LP, and managed by IHG. It will be located in Cityplace Tower, where it will occupy eight of the mixed-use building's 42 floors.
The hotel will feature 223 bedrooms, a restaurant, a full bar, a lounge, an outdoor pool, a fitness centre, a business centre, a Club InterContinental Lounge and onsite parking.
"Extremely Pleased"
In a statement on IHG's website, the group's chief development officer, Americas, Joel Eisemann, said, "We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Highland Capital to bring the InterContinental brand back to Dallas, and offer world-renowned luxury service to business and leisure travellers. With its iconic design, sweeping panoramic views of the Dallas skyline, and premiere Uptown neighbourhood location, the Cityplace Tower is a natural fit for an InterContinental hotel. This project will be a tremendous addition to our luxury portfolio in the Americas."
