New data released for Hostelworld reveals that pretax profit at the Irish travel website increased to €11.8 million last year, with revenue rising 8% to €86.7 million.
The data indicates that Hostelworld's adjusted earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation increased 10% to €26.4 million, with adjusted profit after tax rising 12% to €21.7 million, while average booking value amounted to €11.60 and overall bookings grew by 6%.
Hostelworld chief executive Fergal Mooney expressed his satisfaction with the company's results.
