Global hotel chain Hilton has hinted that it is considering the possibility of attaching its name to more hotels in Ireland in the future.
Hilton, which next month will complete its rebrand of the Jurys Inn Custom House Dublin as a Hilton Garden hotel at the cost of €5.5 million - the first hotel branded under the Hilton Garden Inn name in Ireland - currently has seven properties in its Irish portfolio.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, Mark Nogal, the head of Hilton's European, Middle East and African brand management team, said: "Would we like to have more hotels here in Dublin and in Ireland as a whole? Absolutely."
He added: "We have better than 4,600 hotels around the world across 13 different brands, and those brands each attract a different type of traveller."
"Garden Inn is one of what we call our focused service brands.
"The other focused service brand is the Hampton by Hilton brand. We see Ireland as a fit for both of those brands."
