Co. Donegal's Harvey's Point hotel has had its AA rating upgraded from four black stars to four red stars, making it the only hotel in Ireland's north west to hold such a distinction.
This year's AA Awards, which recognise outstanding excellence in the hospitality industry, with the red star being their highest honour, took place in London's Grosvenor House yesterday (Monday 25 September ), as reported by The Donegal Democrat.
Commenting on the hotel's achievement, Deirdre McGlone of Harvey's Point, said: "It is our collective goal to deliver the highest possible standards of world-class hotel-keeping, blended with authentic Irish hospitality. Winning the prestigious AA Red Star Award encourages us to raise the bar even higher and to look for even more ways to delight our discerning guests."
