TripAdvisor has just published what its users have ranked as the best ten hotels in Ireland, with Harvey's Point in the top position for the third consecutive year.
The Donegal property was also rated by the travel website as the sixth-best hotel in Europe, and the 18th-best globally.
These are among its Travellers' Choice awards, which are voted on by actual travellers, or are "based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers worldwide," the website itself states.
Deirdre McGlone of Harvey's Point was very happy by the prize: "The entire team is absolutely delighted at this hat-trick of successes," she said.
"We are very grateful to all our guests who posted reviews on TripAdvisor and for their very positive comments. It was a lovely New Year's gift as we complete our 25th Anniversary Year."
James Kay, a TripAdvisor spokesperson, stated: "These awards recognise the finest hotels across the globe, according to those that really matter – the guests themselves."
