Dublin's Gibson Hotel has announced it is joining Special Olympics Ireland as its hospitality sponsor. The sponsorship will include hosting key events for the organisation in the lead up to the 2018 Special Olympics Ireland Games.
Gibson Hotel general manager Garret Marrinan said, "The values of Special Olympics Ireland are close to our heart here at the Gibson Hotel – hard work, along with fun, friendship and the feeling of team spirit and belonging. We are honoured to be the hospitality sponsor for Special Olympics Ireland and we look forward to welcoming the athletes, patrons, directors, stakeholders and all involved in the organisation over the coming months."
Meanwhile, Matt English, CEO of Special Olympics Ireland, asserted, "We are delighted and grateful for the support of the Gibson Hotel in what is a busy and extremely important year for Special Olympics Ireland. Not only will the Ireland games return to Dublin for the first time in 16 years, but we will also celebrate our 40th anniversary. Our athletes are ready to compete and can’t wait to represent their region on the national stage in Dublin."
The 2018 Special Olympics Ireland Games will take place over four days from Thursday June 14 to Sunday June 17 in Dublin.
