The Sunday Times reports that following the approval of planning permission for one additional floor with 30 rooms last year, the hotel's owners have now applied for permission to double the venue's expansion by adding one further storey to the building.

If approved, the hotel's new top floor would feature a rooftop restaurant and bar, with a new ground floor entrance providing direct access to the venue's ninth floor "pavilion".
