Dalata's Top Brass Rewarded For Bumper 2015

Top management at Dalata have been rewarded to the tune of almost €2 million for their part in the hotel group's stellar 2015 performance.

Earlier this month, Dalata reported soaring profits and revenues for 2015 after what was a blockbuster year for the group. Group revenue increased by 185 per cent to €225.7 million creating a pre-tax profit of €28.5 million.

On the back of this positive result, Dalata's executive team have seen their remuneration packages almost double that of the previous year, according to The Irish Times.

The company's annual report revealed chief executive Pat McCann (pictured at National Hospital Awards in October) added a bonus of €420,000 on top of his €420,000 salary for the year. This compared with his total remuneration package of €310,000 the previous year.

Meanwhile, deputy chief executive Dermot Crowley received a total package totalling €550,000, while Stephen McNally was awarded the same salary, bonus and pension as Crowley, but with €3,000 in other benefits.

Dalata has previously stated that it expected to add 4,000 or 5,000 rooms to its portfolio over the next five-to-seven years.
