Clayton Hotels, part of Dalata Hotel Group plc, has extended its portfolio by rebranding and transforming four hotels to the Clayton hotel brand.
The four rebranded properties are Clayton Hotel Burlington Road (formerly Double Tree Hilton Burlington Road); Clayton Hotel Limerick (formerly Clarion Hotel Limerick); Clayton Hotel Cork City (formerly Clarion Hotel Cork City); and the Clayton Hotel Sligo (formerly Clarion Hotel Sligo).
There are now 17 Clayton hotels with almost 4,400 rooms in Ireland and the UK at locations such as Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Sligo and Wexford as well as in London, Belfast, Cardiff, Leeds and Manchester.
Josephine Norton, group marketing and e-commerce manager of Dalata Hotel Group, said: “As Ireland’s largest hotel brand, Clayton hotels experienced transformational growth in 2016. With increasing demand and the broadening of our portfolio in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Sligo, we are excited to reinvent and integrate these hotels under the Clayton brand, within the Dalata Hotel Group.
"Looking forward, we continue to make strong progress with our development pipeline. Construction is underway on the Clayton Hotel Charlemont with completion due in mid 2018, while planning permission has been received for a 140-room extension at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport. Construction is due to commence in the second quarter of next year with completion in the fourth quarter of 2018. Furthermore, the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge is currently in the planning process for the extension of additional rooms.
"Throughout 2017 we will continue to evaluate acquisition and development opportunities in the Irish and UK market and investing behind the Clayton hotel brand."
