Following the purchase of Cork's Clarion Hotel for €35.1 million in October last year, Dalata Hotel Group is to invest €2 million into the hotel as part of a major rebranding effort.
The four-star Clarion Hotel, which will now see it referred to as Clayton Hotel Cork City, will have its 191 hotel rooms refurbished, the addition of a new restaurant and cafe as well as the improvement of its conference facilities reports FFT.ie.
Dalata hotel group has a current portfolio of 41 three- and four-star hotels with over 8,000 rooms that it owns, manages and leases.
It also recently rebranded the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel as the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road after completing the acquisition of the hotel's operating interest.
