Dalata Hotel Group Opens First Hotel In Brighton

Dalata Hotel Group, the largest hotel operator in Ireland, has announced the opening of a 226-guestroom hotel on Brighton’s waterfront.

The four-star Maldron Hotel Brighton is Dalata Group’s 56th hotel and is one of four new hotels opening this year across the UK.

The investment has created 65 new jobs for the local area.

'Ideal Location'

"As a prime tourist destination with a vibrant cultural scene that attracts millions of visitors annually, Brighton is an ideal location for Dalata," said Dermot Crowley, Dalata Hotel Group CEO.

"The city is also experiencing growing business demand and is recognised nationally and internationally as a leading conference centre, supported by its close proximity to London."

Sustainability Certification

The Maldron Hotel Brighton features the brand’s Grain & Grill restaurant and a Red Bean Roastery coffee dock serving barista prepared coffee.

The hotel, developed by the Topland Group, and built by Cfield Construction, has obtained a sustainability certification that places it in the top 10% of new non-domestic buildings in the UK for best practice when it comes to its environmental performance, with a BREEAM Excellent rating.

“With a dedicated meeting and events floor encompassing five meeting rooms equipped with Clevertouch technology, and with the hotel being located just 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport, we are an excellent choice for business and for corporate guests,” said John Devine, Maldron Hotel Brighton general manager.
