Dalata Buys Wexford Hotel for €3.5 Million

Dalata, Ireland's biggest hotel group, have added another site to its portfolio, purchasing the Maldron Hotel Wexford for €3.53 million.

Dalata had been operating the hotel since 2007 and made the purchase in cash,to be completed in April 2015. The three-star, 108-room hotel, located in Barntown, Co. Wexford, has recently undergone a full refurbishment.

Dalata said the purchase will "consolidate its position and allow it to develop the business of the hotel to its full potential."

This purchase is another to add to a recent splurge of acquisitions by Dalata, most recently buying the Holiday Inn in Belfast for £18.5 million.
