Plans by Brondsway Ltd. to an add an eight-storey 71-bedroom extension to the capital's Camden Court hotel have been halted by Dublin City Council due to concerns about potential negative impacts on adjoining properties.
According to The Irish Independent, the proposed extension involves adding two extra storeys to the existing six-storey Camden Court venue as well as developing a new eight-story adjacent block that would bring the hotel's total room stock up to 322.
Issues with the plans highlighted by Dublin City Council include encroaching onto neighbouring land not owned by the planning applicant as well as negative effects on daylight access and overlooking. Brondsway has been asked by the council to address each of these issues.
