The 2016 Travel Media Awards, currently in its 6th year, saw 4-star Cork International Hotel win the title of Best Airport Hotel.
Other winners included Aer Lingus, which beat Ryanair and American Airlines to be awarded the Best Short Haul Airline in Europe and Best Long Haul Airline Flying West.
The Irish Examiner reports that Emirates won the award for Best Long Haul Flying East and Red Carnation Hotels, which owns the five-star Ashford Castle in Co. Mayo, won Best International Hotel Group.
