The Bianconi Inn, located in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, has been put on the market by CBRE on behalf of Ray and Rick Sheehy, whose family originally acquired the premises in 1955.
The 16-bedroom property attracts thousands of tourists every August for its annual 'Puck Fair'. An array of international firms also operate in the town, with payment solutions company Fexco and pharmaceutical firms Temmlar and Astellas being among the most notable.
The Bianconi Inn itself is a three-storey licensed premises, the facilities of which have been continuously upgraded and expanded over the past 62 years. It currently comprises a ground floor bar, reception, restaurant area, catering kitchen, stores, customer toilets, and 16 guest bedrooms spread out across its first and second floors.
Commenting on the sale, CBRE Hotels director John Ryan asserted, "The sale of The Bianconi Inn offers a very unique opportunity to acquire a well-known, popular and successful hospitality business. At present, a substantial and very profitable food, drink and accommodation business is carried on in the premises and the opportunity now presents itself, due to the retirement of Ray and Rick Sheehy, for a new owner to continue the operation of this very successful business."
