Co. Down's Avoca Hotel Hits The Market For £600k

Northern Ireland's Avoca Hotel has hit the market for £600,000.

Located in the Co. Down town of Newcastle, the premises is also situated less than a mile from the Royal County Down golf course, which played host to the Irish Open in 2015.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that the hotel has been in owner Dorothy Bell's family for three generations, but that she has decided to sell it due to retirement and none of her own children wishing to take on the business.

The Avoca Hotel encompasses 16 bedrooms, a courtyard, bistro and lounge bars. A brochure from commercial property agent OKT, which is selling the property, describes it as being "backdropped by the stunning Mourne Mountains and close to the Royal County Down Golf Club, Tollymore Forest Park, Silent Valley and Murlough Nature Reserve."
