Co. Antrim's Leighinmohr House boutique hotel is seeking to increase its room count as part of a new expansion plan.
As revealed by The Belfast Telegraph, the Ballymena venue has submitted plans to the Mid and East Antrim council, which are currently under consideration, to add an extra 12 bedrooms and expand its kitchen facilities.
The two-storey property, which is owned by property developers Sam Morrison and Adrian Fullen and is located on a 2.4 acre site, currently has 21 bedrooms as well as a function room with a capacity of over 350.
Commenting on the expansion plans, a spokesperson for the hotel said, "This is necessary in order to cater for our growing business. We've been here four years now and business is going very well.
"We're primarily a restaurant and weddings business, so just last year we gutted out our Galgorm Suite and gave it a complete makeover. Now, with the extension, we will be able to continue to offer top class services to our growing customer base."
