Estate agent JLL has put the freehold of Co. Tipperary's Clonmel Park Hotel on the market on behalf of the Poppyfield Hotel Consortium, which is looking for bids in excess of €4.8 million.
As reported by The Irish Times, the four-star venue, which is currently leased by Tetrarch Capital, features 99 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, meeting and function rooms, and a gym and swimming pool, among other facilities.
In a brochure inviting bids, JLL's senior vice president for hotels and hospitality, Dan O'Connor, said that the venue is scheduled for a rent review in 2018 and also drew attention to the fact that revenues at Irish provincial hotels rose by approximately 11% in 2016.
The Clonmel Park Hotel is the second Co. Tipperary hotel to go on sale in recent weeks, with Clonmel's Raheen House hitting the market for a guide price of more than €1.8 million at the end of September.
