Co. Kildare's Carton House, a Fairmont-managed hotel, has been awarded two awards at the World Travel Awards, at which it was named "Ireland's Leading Luxury Hotel" and "Ireland's Leading Hotel Suite" for its presidential suite.

Carton House's director of talent and culture, Selina Murphy, and its director of food & beverage, Thomas Lagrue, attended the awards ceremony, which took place in Mallorca Galatzo in Spain, to accept the awards on behalf of the hotel.
Carton House reopened in June 2021 after a two-year multimillion-euro total renovation of the original house, and surrounding hotel and grounds and parkland.
