Belfast's Ten Square Hotel is preparing for an £18 million expansion that will involve the addition of a new spa and gym to the premises as well as a further 66 bedrooms, bringing the venue's total room count to 140.
The £18 million investment, which is being supported by Ulster Bank, will also allow for the refurbishment of the hotel's restaurant and kitchen in the coming months.
Commenting on how the Ten Square expansion is just of one of an array of significant investments in the sector at present, head of corporate banking at Ulster Bank Kenton Hilman said, "There are a number of important investments ongoing relating to Northern Ireland's growing visitor numbers and we are seeing good investment in a range of sectors including, not just hospitality, but also food and drink, IT and manufacturing. This is reflected in Ulster Bank's latest results, which show a 15% increase in corporate lending in Northern Ireland in the past year."
