Approximately 100 potential buyers have shown interest in purchasing Co. Kildare’s K Club hotel and golf resort since it was put on the market for €80 million in early July.
The Irish Times reports that head of real estate agency Savills Hotel & Leisure Tom Barrett has revealed that of the 100 potential investors, approximately one third are Asian, one third are from the US and one third are domestic, British, European and Middle Eastern. However, he also said that that the number of realistic buyers is likely to be considerably less than 100.
Companies And Investors
According to Barrett, those who have expressed an interest in acquiring the property are a combination of tourism and leisure companies, investors and wealthy individuals. He added that he expected around 30-40 likely purchasers to access the “data room”, a store of important information about the business, and that a sale could be expected to take several months.
