Airbnb has officially opened the doors of its new 400,000 sqm Dublin international headquarters at Hanover Quay in the capital.
The office is the company's second in Dublin - the previous office in The Watermarque Building will continue to operate - and becomes its second largest office worldwide. The new office will be home to many of Airbnb’s core business functions including customer experience.
Siliconrepublic.com reports that when the new office was announced early last year, along with the creation of 200 new jobs, the building known simply as ‘The Warehouse’ underwent a massive restoration project to allow it to house one of the largest tech buildings based in Dublin.
The newly-appointed Minister of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’ Connor was present at the opening, as well as senior Airbnb management, including its global general council, Rob Chesnut; its Irish head and global head of customer support, Aisling Hassell, and its CFO, Laurence Tosi.
