Talking to The Irish Times, golfer Paul McGinley has revealed that Co. Limerick's Adare Manor has a "very strong" chance of hosting the Ryder Cup in 2026, calling the venue the "best of the best".
McGinley declared, "It ticks every box you need for a Ryder Cup. There's loads of space, loads of space for corporate hospitality, loads of space around the 18th, the golf course is really strong and in a really incredible position."
He added, "Hopefully, over the next six months when we get into making a decision as to where 2026 will go, we'll get something in the paper, something confirmed from the government."
