Talbot Collection Records 9% Rise In Turnover

Newly-filed accounts for Irish hotel group the Talbot Collection have revealed that the firm's turnover increased 9% last year, rising €3 million to €35.2 million, while its revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 9%.

The Talbot Collection attributes its favourable results primarily to hotel acquisitions coupled with their asset reinvestment programme.

Four-Star Rating

2017 saw the group's Midleton Park Hotel being awarded a four-star rating, bringing the collection's property rating up to four stars across the board. This came on the back of an investment of more than €2.5 million in refurbishing the East Cork hotel. Last year also saw the full first year of trading for the group's luxury self-catering apartments, Talbot Suites at Stonebridge.

Commending The Team

Commenting on the group's performance last year, Talbot Collection managing director Philip Gavin said, "I am so proud of our entire team, who must be commended and applauded. The success and continued expansion of our group is thanks to their hard-work, dedicated and passionate."
