A £2 million expansion program has gotten under way at Galgorm Resort and Spa in County Antrim. The investment, which was funded by Galgorm itself, will see the addition of a two acre spa garden, two tier fitness suite and a spa eatery to the resort's 122 bedroom hotel, thermal spa village, gym and events facilities.
According to hospitalityandcateringnews.com, the spa garden and fitness suite are due to be completed in July and will be available to both short-term guests and hotel residents. A 60-seater spa eatery called Elements will follow soon thereafter, while a further extension will see the resort's Italian restaurant Fratelli expand its seating area to accommodate an extra 80 diners.
Galgorm general manager Colin Johnston asserted, "This project was undertaken to create a world-class addition to the already outstanding guest facilities here. Our investment is entirely privately funded and clearly displays our faith in the future growth and prosperity of Ballymena."
