Icelandic airline WOW Air has announced it start new routes from Dublin to Los Angeles and San Francisco, starting in January 2016.
The carrier currently operates daily flights from Dublin to Reykjavik, which it will connect to flights to Los Angeles four times a week and San Francisco five times a week.
The new routes will both require a two-hour stopover at Reykjavik. The airline currently operates similar services to Boston and Washington, which the no-frills carrier was offering flights for as little as €133 each way in September.
WOW Air was founded in 2012 by Skuli Morgensen. In June, it became the first airline to offer a direct flight from Iceland to Ireland.
