10 tourism companies from Northern Ireland are taking part in a Tourism Ireland virtual sales mission in Germany this week, according to a statement published on Tourism Ireland's website.

The two-day sales mission is an online event that was organised by Tourism Ireland to allow the participating tourism companies from Northern Ireland to connect with key German tour operators via a series of virtual interactive roundtable discussions, according to the statement published on TourismIreland.com, which also noted that the aim of the sales mission is to highlight the experiences and attractions that are on offer in Northern Ireland to the participating German tour operators and encourage them to feature Northern Ireland in their holiday and tour programmes.

The statement published on TourismIreland.com included a statement from Tourism Ireland's manager Germany, Nadine Lehmann, that said, "Tourism Ireland is delighted that a number of leading German tour operator are taking the time to join us, and our partners from Northern Ireland, for our virtual German sales mission. The participation of these German travel professionals is a strong indication that there is really good interest in Northern Ireland and our tourism offering. It provides a valuable opportunity for our partners to showcase their product and connect with the influential German tour operators. Our aim is to increase awareness of Northern Ireland among these influential tour operators and to help our tourism partners secure a greater share of their business."
