50 tourism companies from around Ireland are taking part in Tourism Ireland's virtual "Meet Ireland 2022" event today (Thursday 26 May).

"Meet Ireland 2022" is an online workshop that was organised by Tourism Ireland to allow the tourism companies from Ireland to connect with more than 60 Italian travel professionals and journalists via a series of one-to-one, pre-scheduled video appointments.
The aim of the event is to showcase Ireland to these travel professionals and journalists, as well as to highlight that Ireland is open for business again and cannot wait to welcome back Italian visitors.

Tourism Ireland's Manager Italy, Marcella Ercolini, stated, "Tourism Ireland is delighted that over 60 Italian travel professionals and journalists are taking the time to join us, and our partners from Ireland, for our virtual 'Meet Ireland 2022' event. The participation of these travel trade representatives and journalists is a strong indication that interest in visiting Ireland remains high here in Italy. The event provides a really valuable opportunity for our partners to showcase their product and connect with the influential Italian travel professionals. The aim is to highlight the many things to see and do, and all that is new and exciting, on a holiday in Ireland in 2022."
