Tourism Ireland is hosting an International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) virtual event, in which 39 tourism businesses from the island of Ireland are participating.
The virtual event, which is for the global luxury travel industry, will take place over three weeks and involves a programme of bespoke one-to-one appointments and media briefings.
The tourism businesses from the island of Ireland will interact with luxury travel buyers from Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region over the course of the three-week virtual event.
The aim of the event is to showcase the island of Ireland to these luxury travel buyers, who design unique, luxury travel itineraries for their international clients, as Tourism Ireland believes that once the COVID-19 crisis is over, luxury travel will be an area of opportunity for the island of Ireland.
"A Really Good Opportunity"
Tourism Ireland's head of business partnership, Louise Finnegan, stated, "Our participation in the ILTM World Tour is an excellent platform to promote the superb luxury tourism offering around Ireland, from our boutique hotels, castles and luxury resorts to our rich culture and heritage, and not forgetting our world-class golf and superb culinary scene.
"The format of virtual one-to-one appointments provides a really good opportunity for our partners from Ireland to do business with luxury travel buyers from around the world. Our message for these buyers is that, when the time is right, we will have everything ready to welcome their international clients. We'll be assuring them that tourism companies across the island of Ireland have been implementing all the required new health and safety measures, but will still be ready to deliver a fantastic luxury experience for their clients."
