Ireland was promoted to more than 70 tour operators and travel agents from Belgium and the Netherlands at Tourism Ireland's B2B workshops in Brussels and Amersfoort.
Details
19 Irish tourism operators connected with Belgian and Dutch travel professionals via a series of one-to-one meetings - providing an opportunity for the businesses from Ireland to showcase and sell their products. The operators are now signing contracts for 2023 and beyond; it is, therefore, a key time to influence the addition of new tourism products to their programmes.
Five tourism industry partners also joined Tourism Ireland on sales calls to the headquarters of two major Dutch tour operators - De Jong Intra Vakanties and Buro Scanbrit - where they had the opportunity to present to the sales teams.
Statement By Tourism Ireland's Manager For Northern Europe
Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland's manager for Northern Europe, said, "We're really pleased that over 70 key Belgian and Dutch travel agents and tour operators took the time to come and meet with our partners from Ireland in Brussels and Amersfoort. Their participation is a strong indication that interest in visiting Ireland remains high in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
"Our B2B workshops and sales calls provide a really valuable opportunity for our partners from Ireland to showcase their product. The aim is to highlight the many things to see and do on the island of Ireland to the influential Belgian and Dutch travel professionals and to help secure a greater share of their business in 2023 and beyond."
