Taste Of Dublin Kicks Off In Dublin

This weekend. the Iveagh Gardens will once again play host to the Taste of Dublin, which is back for its 11th year and will showcase some of Ireland's best culinary stars from home and abroad.

Some 30,000 people are expected to attend the event and will be able to watch live chef demonstrations, sample dishes from some of Ireland's best restaurants and enjoy live entertainment.

Highlights include The ElectroLux Taste Theatre where chefs like Neven Maguire, Paul Kelly of The Merrion Hotel and The Great Irish Bake Off, Mark Moriarty the 2015 San Pellegrino World Young Chef of the Year and Ross Lewis of Michelin star Chapter One will be doing live interactive cooking demonstrations.

The Homecoming lineup will include Gordon Ramsay's former Head Chef Anna Haugh, Robin Gill Head Chef of Clapham's The Dairy, and Patrick Powell the Head Chef of London's latest hotspot Chiltern Firehouse.

Visitors will get the chance to try dishes from restaurants such as Amuse, which brings Asian flavours to modern French cuisine, Pichet, Scandinavian inspired dishes from Soder + Ko, seafood and lobster rolls from Klaw and dry-aged steaks from F.X. Buckley's.

Dublin's Cookery School will be hosting the ElectroLux Chefs Secrets where the likes of Gavin McDonagh from Brioche, The Hot Stove's Joy Beattie, Sunil Ghai of newly opened Indian restaurant Pickle, among others, will be giving out tips and technique advice.

There will also be a collaboration between Barry's Tea and Chapter One which will celebrate tea and cakes, a beer pub from Franciscan Well brewery as well as the O'Briens Wine Experience. Over 100 exhibitors, such as the Celtic Whiskey Shop, Le Petit Parisien, Teelings, Open Gate Brewery, Champagne Taittinger and Tanqueray No. 10 Gin, will also be selling their products at the event.

Tickets start from €15 and can be bought on the website or at the box office on the day.
