Following the news of a €25 million investment in the company last week, it's been announced that Stobart Air will be operating a new route from Dublin to London's Southend Airport under the Flybe brand.
According to The Irish Times, the new service will encompass up to three flights a day, seven days a week from October 29, with fares beginning at €29.99 one way, including taxes and charges.
The airline's chief executive, Graeme Buchanan, stated that the creation of the route is "a sound strategic move for Stobart Air as we invest in our three-year growth strategy. We are on track to carry two million passengers in 2017, a 50 per cent increase in passenger numbers over the past five years."
