Slovenia's tourist numbers rose 5% in 2019, with foreign tourists increasing by 6.3% to 4.7 million, the statistics office has revealed.
However, tourist overnight stays increased by only 0.6%, with stays of foreign tourists rising by 1.8%.
Most of foreign tourists were from Italy, Germany, Austria, Croatia and Serbia.
Tourism account for approximately 13% of Slovenia's GDP.
Foreign Tourist Revenue
Revenue from foreign tourists reached a record €2.7 billion in 2018 and the government hopes that it will rise to at least €3.7 billion per year by 2021.
