Shannon Airport has been accredited through the Airports Council International (ACI) World and ACI Europe airport health accreditation programme.
Programme Details
ACI's airport health accreditation programme assesses new COVID-19-related health measures and procedures introduced at airports in accordance with ICAO Council Aviation Recovery Task Force recommendations and in alignment with the joint EASA and ECDC Aviation Health Safety Protocol and ACI Europe's guidelines for a healthy passenger experience at airports.
Factors covered by the accreditation include cleaning and disinfection, physical distancing, staff protection, physical layout, passenger communications and passenger facilities.
Cork And Dublin Accreditations
Shannon Airport's accreditation through the programme follows Cork Airport's accreditation, which was announced in September, and Dublin Airport's accreditation, which was announced in October.
