Irish business energy event the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) Energy Show will return to the RDS, Dublin, on Wednesday April 18 and Thursday April 19. This year, the event will feature 150 exhibitors of sustainable energy technologies and services, with plenty to see for those involved in the hospitality industry.
The annual two-day free event is ideally suited to those who want to learn and experience the latest innovations in the energy sector. Companies are increasingly recognising that reducing energy use can deliver growth and cost savings, and the SEAI Energy Show will provide the information and contacts necessary for those who wish to manage energy effectively.
Commenting on the SEAI Energy Show 2018, Jim Gannon, CEO of SEAI said, “The Irish market for sustainable energy solutions is set to reach €3 billion by 2020 as homeowners, businesses and communities move towards cleaner energy. Visitors will be able to see everything from large scale renewable energy solutions to smart energy management systems and lighting technology innovations at the show. There will be free test drives in the latest electric vehicles and best practice demonstrations will be given on building fabric solutions. Visitors will also be able to download a custom app for the show, to help facilitate networking opportunities.
Attendees can also link up with industry and professional associations, including the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, the Heat Pump Association, Engineers Ireland and the Association of Plumbers and Heating Contractors.

· A session informing SMEs of grants available to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their energy costs. Grants have been piloted to help businesses upgrade lighting technology and reduce their lighting costs. Attendees can hear the experiences of businesses who have
carried out energy upgrades and how future grants might help their business and competitiveness.
· A session aimed at large businesses providing an overview of where SEAI can support them to reduce their energy demand, and how they can access various grant schemes.
· An update on electric vehicle supports, incentives and technology developments.
· A session on the changing trends in Ireland’s energy use and supply and Ireland’s recent progress towards its renewable energy targets. The session also aims to engage the audience to think about big ideas to address Ireland’s goals to reduce carbon emissions.
The SEAI Energy Show is a free event and will run from 10am – 6pm on Wednesday April 18 and from 9am - 5pm on Thursday April 19.
