Ryanair's January Traffic Declined 88% Year-On-Year To 1.3m Customers

Ryanair has released its traffic statistics for January, revealing that the company's total traffic declined by 88% year-on-year last month to 1.3 million customers from 10.8 million in January of 2020 as a result of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Rolling Annual Traffic

The company's rolling annual traffic declined by 72% year-on-year in January to 42.6 million customers.

Normal Schedule Percentage And Load Factor

Ryanair operated approximately 15% of its normal January schedule last month, and the airline had a load factor of 69%.

Expecting A Record Annual Loss And Suspension Of NI Services

The above news follows news from earlier this week that Ryanair expects a record loss of close to €1 billion in the year to March 31 and that the airline will not operate any services out of or into Northern Ireland until late March at the earliest.
