Low-cost airline Ryanair has revealed that it carried 1.1 million more passengers in August this year than it did in August of 2018.
The airline, which recently appointed veteran executive Eddie Wilson as its chief executive, said that passenger numbers across the company rose by 8%.
Flights Operated And Load Factor
Ryanair said that it operated over 81,000 scheduled flights in August.
The group also said that its load factor - a measure of how full its flights are - stood at 97% for the month.
While Ryanair carried the majority of these passengers, while Lauda - the airline founded by Formula One champion Niki Lauda before Ryanair purchased 75% of the airline last year - carried half a million people.
Overall, Ryanair carried over 149 million people in the period, up 10% on the same period in 2018.
